REVIEW:
I am typically NOT a fan of romcom. I am typically NOT a fan of friends to lovers. BUT I AM a fan of THIS book! I am LOVING the versatility of Kate's writing. Each book I read of hers speaks more and more to her abilities to truly write and create a truly unique story like no other. I started reading her books with HEARTBREAK WARFARE. Which I LOVED, but man, I STILL have emotional PTSD when I think about that book LOL. Then I read METHOD, which was based in Hollywood and couldn't be further from HW, now I read, THE GUY ON THE RIGHT and AGAIN I am blown away by the unexpected and uniqueness of it all. Like I said above, I typically don't like romcom or friends to lovers type books. The only time I read them is if I trust that the author can deliver and KATE DELIVERED! "I might’ve fallen slowly but I just landed impossibly deep. I adored Theo's character. I gotta say, I am ALL FOR the underdog getting the girl now. I couldn't get enough of Laney's quirkiness. They were the PERFECT opposites. Kate just made their relationship work! #imalittlebitcountryhesawholelotrockandroll "We're polar opposites in some ways. I'm too country, and he's a whole lot of everything else. We shouldn't fit, but we do, and our fit is nothing short of spectacular." You can FEEL this story while reading it. From the slow burn to the LOL moments. And trust me, there were PLENTY of LOL moments. I would literally stop reading and reread parts out loud to my hubby (which I NEVER do). Even he was laughing! #GummyBears I just couldn't get enough of these characters silliness! This was a genuine, heart warming, slow-burn that had me laughing, swooning and all out giddy with happiness by the end. Everyone needs to read this! #livingourrealestlife 5 "feel it everywhere" stars!
